The complexity of many of these projects means that we have to finely balance our technical knowledge and practical construction skills with a flexible approach to work seamlessly with other parties involved in these projects, including local authorities and other specialist contractors.
Our commitment to quality and professionalism means that we can implement work of the highest standards, even in the difficult conditions imposed by the marine environment. We have constructed quay walls in highly challenging and demanding conditions to ensure that they are structurally sound, can withstand adverse weather and yet are also aesthetically pleasing.
Sharrock Shand has also carried out sea defence works to repair and renovate Camp Bay, Little Bay and also the reclamation area, all vital parts of Gibraltar’s quality of life. And we have contributed to ensuring the continuing viability of even historic installations, for example, through the underwater concrete repairs to the detached mole, sea water intakes and quay walls which had been damaged by WW2 torpedo fire.
